The Schockemohle Martingale Fork Elastic is an excellent choice for any horse. A sturdy elastic bungie enables some give when the horse reaches the end of the martingale, softening the contact to the bit. The tether between the two can be adjusted, allowing you to adjust the distance between the martingale rings. Buckle end.
