100% designed and made in Italy. The CROMO 2.0 model is the evolution of the Cromo helmet. Also available in different finishes and colour variations, CROMO 2.0 gives the rider access to further independent customization options, even after purchase. An innovative mechanical interlocking system allows the rider to replace both the front and rear inserts and the visor in just few simple steps. The outer shell is both lightweight and resistant thanks to the polycarbonate in-moulding design. The aggressive and elegant ventilation grille is available with both colour contrast and tone-on-tone finishes. The KEP AIR CONTROL SYSTEM is enhanced with additional ventilation slits at the back, to ensure greater breathability and better internal temperature control. The hand-stitched genuine leather strap maintains the five attachment points for a more stable fit. The new padding, with improved comfort and breathability, is in soft fabric made from eco-green raw materials. It can still be removed and hand washed or machine washed at 30°. You can customize your unique helmet with gorgeous freehand airbrushing or other techniques. CROMO 2.0 is fitted with an integrated microchip, positioned under the front insert, to which you can upload the rider's health details using the KEP App. In case of need, this can help speed up the provision of first aid. KEP Safety Standards

All KEP helmets are carefully crafted using only the highest quality materials. These include: laser-perforated steel with light and sturdy honeycomb structures, aluminum, carbon, DDQ stainless steel, and Kevlar. Flexible visors are used to avoid common facial and neck injuries associated with restricted head movement when making contact with the ground. The extended nape provides a greater surface area of protection for the back of the head. Even the helmet strap, a crucial safety piece, has been thoughtfully designed with five secured points and checked for tensile stretch to ensure the helmet remains on the rider's head during a fall.

All KEP Italia designs undergo considerable testing before they hit the market, including but not limited to: shock absorption, penetration, strap resistance, shift, and crush tests. This testing allows them to meet the following certifications:

  • CE certification to VG1 01.040 2014-12
  • SEI certification to ASTM F1163:2015
  • Kite Mark certification to VG1 01.040 2014-12
  • IC Mark certification to EN 1384
  • Kite Mark certification to PAS05:2011

KEP Italia Helmet Replacement Policy Provisions:  

  • Discount available for new KEP Italia helmet after riding accident/incident that would require replacement 
  • Discount percentage varies by years of ownership: 
    • Under < 1 year since purchase: 50% discount 
    • Over > 1 year, but less than 2 years since purchase: 30% discount 
    • Over > 2 years since purchase: NO DISCOUNT 
  • Process for requesting discount: 
    • Return damaged helmet and all details related to damage to SHOP at Spruce Meadows
    • Include receipt of original purchase 
    • SHOP at Spruce Meadows will ship damaged helmet to KEP Italia for inspection

Sizing

Sizing Guide:

KEP Italia produces helmets with an external shell available in two sizes, M or L. Eight different sizes can be inserted inside the M shell, from 51 to 58, while those from 59 to 62 can be inserted in the L shell. But it is not enough that the helmet is the right size, it must also adapt to the shape of the head.
It is possible to insert small shims inside the helmet designed to perfectly adapt the helmet to the rider's head (which can be oval, round, or egg-shaped) and which can be inserted in front, behind, or on the sides of the helmet, always internally. Precisely for this reason KEP Italia has created twelve pads for oval heads (typical in Europe) and twelve pads for narrower heads (typical of North America and Canada).
