PRO GRIP stirrups leathers, a maximum GRIP maximum for training and competition

FREEJUMP's stirrups leathers single strap and extra wide design provide unbeatable riding comfort and the guarantee that the FREEJUMP stirrup leathers will not twist. The upper part enables an even more precise adjustment of the length than conventional stirrup leathers thanks to the use of « biothane » material on the back of the upper part of the leathers ; the biothane reinforces the upper part of the leathers allowing more holes in the same short distance (30 holes instead of 20 as found on conventional leathers).

The new PRO GRIP offering:

Leathers internal grip for a true gripping effect to the saddle ;
As a results the stirrups are in a more stable position ;
No grip necessary between the boots (or chaps) and the couple leathers/saddle, limiting the secondary effects of boots glue, and allowing the legs to remain free in their movements ;
Grip mounted on a velcro strap for an easy replacement ;

PRO GRIP stirrups leathers, a vegetal leather

Most of time heavy metals such as chromium are used in the manufacturing of leathers. These harmful products are often discharged by the tanneries to nearby rivers, causing serious pollution of water and soil. Vegetal leather is tanned … with active vegetal components.

Vegetal tanned leather is friendlier to the environment and is also less harmful to the health of those who produce it and the end users’. Vegetal tanned leather does not trigger allergies. Vegetal tanning is used particularly for orthopedics, for saddles and horse tacks (horses can also be allergic!). And you will often find some in the lining of your shoes.

Vegetal tanned leather has natural shades with deeper and more nuanced hues. It has a distinctive identity with its warmer feel and differences from skin to skin. This leather will patina over time and improve as a good wine!

The Tech Stirrups are manufactured with high-quality metal and have the widest opening available in the market.

Thanks to the Tech Stirrups safety mechanism, the foot has to get the moving part open in case of fall, and this part then goes back to closed position automatically.

The grip was specifically studied for the jumping and the cross-country disciplines: it ensures the maximum wet and dry adhesion, and its 5° inclination helps keep heels down. The hollow of the foothold helps keeping the foot in the centre.

You can easily replace the pad in case of need.

Improved shock-absorption ability that reduces the strain on each stirrup by two-thirds and relieves pressure on the riders' joints and the horses' back with three times more cushioning than a traditional stirrup.

The aircraft-grade spring steel branch, with very high mechanical strength, is 37% more resistant. The Freejump single-branch technology allows a flexible outer branch to be used and is designed so that pressure from the foot opens it up if a rider is dragged by their horse.

Venice Light Plus riding stirrups are provided with a revolutionarysafety mechanism which allows, in case of need, a section of the ring to open, thus easing the release of the foot; thereafter, the section gets back in its original position thanks to a specific spring.

The spring allows the moving part to stay closed during horse riding activities and to open only when a certain pressure is applied. The locking mechanism of the moving part is cushioned by a rubber insert on the ring which allows it to be particularly reactive in case of need.

Like all of our patented stirrups, they are 100% made in Italy. Tech Stirrups Venice Plus are made from aluminium billet and then fastened with stainless steel screws. They are anodised (20μm treatment) to preserve their aesthetic quality.
