These include: laser-perforated steel with light and sturdy honeycomb structures, aluminum, carbon, DDQ stainless steel, and Kevlar. Flexible visors are used to avoid common facial and neck injuries associated with restricted head movement when making contact with the ground. The extended nape provides a greater surface area of protection for the back of the head. Even the helmet strap, a crucial safety piece, has been thoughtfully designed with five secured points and checked for tensile stretch to ensure the helmet remains on the rider's head during a fall.
All KEP Italia designs undergo considerable testing before they hit the market, including but not limited to: shock absorption, penetration, strap resistance, shift, and crush tests. This testing allows them to meet the following certifications:

Sizing Guide:
KEP Italia produces helmets with an external shell available in two sizes, M or L. Eight different sizes can be inserted inside the M shell, from 51 to 58, while those from 59 to 62 can be inserted in the L shell. But it is not enough that the helmet is the right size, it must also adapt to the shape of the head.
It is possible to insert small shims inside the helmet designed to perfectly adapt the helmet to the rider's head (which can be oval, round, or egg-shaped) and which can be inserted in front, behind, or on the sides of the helmet, always internally. Precisely for this reason KEP Italia has created twelve pads for oval heads (typical in Europe) and twelve pads for narrower heads (typical of North America and Canada).

Pro II+/AYR8+ Replacement Headband

Many Charles Owen helmet models feature a fully removable headband, which is machine washable (30ºC) and replaceable.
The helmet liner is designed to fit each helmet size increase and is attached using premium hook and loop closure to ensure that no pressure points exist to cause the rider discomfort.
We recommend riders use these replacement headbands to refresh their riding hat and ensure a snug fit.
Important: Replacing your headband does not extend the protection offered by your helmet. It’s essential that you replace your riding helmet after five years.

You may come across the words ‘drape’ and ‘cup’ headbands which refer to the type of liner used in different helmet models.

Cup headband
Allows for very specific sizing. It can be purchased in multiple sizes to allow room for a rider to grow or to put their hair up inside the helmet.
It fits inside the helmet and can be replaced when worn down to make the helmet feel as snug as when it was new.
