Many Charles Owen helmet models feature a fully removable headband, which is machine washable (30ºC) and replaceable.

The helmet liner is designed to fit each helmet size increase and is attached using premium hook and loop closure to ensure that no pressure points exist to cause the rider discomfort.

We recommend riders use these replacement headbands to refresh their riding hat and ensure a snug fit.

Important: Replacing your headband does not extend the protection offered by your helmet. It’s essential that you replace your riding helmet after five years.

You may come across the words ‘drape’ and ‘cup’ headbands which refer to the type of liner used in different helmet models.

Cup headband

Allows for very specific sizing. It can be purchased in multiple sizes to allow room for a rider to grow or to put their hair up inside the helmet.

It fits inside the helmet and can be replaced when worn down to make the helmet feel as snug as when it was new.

Drape headband

The drape liner does not change the size of the helmet. It is designed to provide a sleek, traditional look while still offering the benefits of being able to wash and replace your helmet liner.

The headband is fitted to the upper edge of the helmet’s interior so that it doesn’t add any extra bulk.

Drop forged means that the metal is hardened so that this leather punch will retain it's shape. Used in many of the Amish harness shops because it will last and last if used properly.

Tip: Leather punches are not made to punch holes in nylon products.

Innovative length-adjustable and flexible leather draw reins for riding or lunging. The W-TrainRein draw reins are attached to the girth or surcingle between the forelegs. A special rein runs through a guide roller and is taken from there through the respective bit ring (from the inside to the outside) back to the girth or surcingle. The guide roller gives the reins and facilitates a gentle and mouth-friendly bending and suppling whilst riding or lunging.

For safe clipping in sensitive areas. Effol Safety-Cut makes precise trimming of the horse’s mane and tail incredibly easy due to the special, dual-surface edge. The specially designed scissor blades prevent the mane and tail from slipping.

We love the AlBaCon German Silver Eggbutt French Link bit because this copper-enhanced German silver bit stimulates salivation and helps prevent dry mouth, yet it has the same appearance as traditional German Silver.  This bit minimizes the horse's mouth from getting pinched while offering more lateral stabilization over the loose ring snaffle.
